For couples who pre-register for the function with payment, the rate is $20 per couple. For those couples who do not wish to pre-register and pay at the door the rate is $25. In addition to the discount, there are other incentives to pre-register with payment. Single Ladies are always free.

What are your rates?

We are pleased to be using PayPal for all of our transactions. They have a secure server and encrypt all of your information. In addition, by using them, your personal information is never seen by us so we may continue to maintain your privacy.

How do credit card charges appear?

There is no photographer walking around during events like you would see at a wedding and your picture will NEVER be taken without your WRITTEN consent.

However, we would like to take some pictures at our functions for fun and to put on this site. Richard, who some of you may know as the photographer from Entice 2005 & 2006, will be taking some pictures of the Checkmates owners during the functions. If you have seen Richard work, you know that if, for any reason, a picture is taken of someone who did not give written consent it is deleted immediately. After the pictures are downloaded from the camera to his PC, he takes extra care and triple checks each picture to ensure that the only people in it have signed a written consent allowing him to take their picture. If you would like your picture taken at one of our events (maybe you have an extra fabulous outfit on that night) just ask Richard and he would be more than happy to take your picture after the photo waiver has been signed. Are photos taken at your functions?

Each couple will receive ONE chance at the door prizes simply for showing up at the door.

To receive a SECOND chance: Register with payment 24hrs. prior to the date of the function you’re attending.

To receive a THIRD chance: Book a room at our location and e-mail your confirmation # to us 24hrs. prior to the date of the function you’re attending.

How do I receive chance to win the door prizes?

Since we have no themes to dress for, you don’t need to wear anything specific. We do ask that you dress appropriately , and leave your day-to-day blue jeans at home. Checkmates wants to give a great impression to the community. To do that, we have a dress code that we respectfully ask everyone to follow. For a full description of our dress code click here.

All of our functions will be held in Rochester, NY. Right now we have booked a beautiful hotel for our Grand Opening. It is our hope that this location will be able to accommodate our needs for all of our functions in the future. The exact location is never given out prior to registering for a Checkmates function to ensure the privacy of our attending couples.

How should I/we dress?

We request that all couples wanting to attend a Checkmates function register in advance so we have a more accurate estimate of the number of couples attending. Knowing this helps us to ensure that we are fully prepared. (i.e. enough tables/chairs, food, space, etc…) To pre-register, simply go to our registration page, fill out the form, and remit the cover charge rate via our secure server.
